Our Team and Board

Our highly qualified and personally focused team is dedicated to providing rewarding experiences for Worldwide Farmers Exchange (WFE) hosts and trainees.

Ashley Medulan, Executive Director

Ashley has been with WFE for over 17 years and as Executive Director since 2021. Ashley oversees all program activities, including visa sponsorship, compliance, international relations, and program development. She received her BA in Spanish and Spanish American Studies from Mills College in 2006 and started her work with WFE as a Program Assistant the same year. Ashley enjoys traveling, cooking, biking, and watching baseball, football, and The Great British Baking Show.

Jess Powell, Program Coordinator

Jess graduated from Gettysburg College in 2014 with a Religious Studies major and Music minor and started her career as the youth director at an Episcopal church in Berkeley. She joined WFE in 2018 and has managed the East Coast office since 2021. As Program Coordinator, she is responsible for finance and human resources at WFE. In her free time, Jess loves making music with friends, sampling different kinds of coffee, spending time in nature, and hanging out with dogs.

Leah Carlson, Program Assistant

Leah has worked in early childhood education and customer service. She graduated with her BA in Sociology from San Francisco State University in May 2024. Since 2022, Leah has been WFE’s Program Assistant and provides administrative support and assists with visa documentation and program management. She lives in Northern California with her family and dog, Mazzy.

Dennis Noller, Program Assistant/Marketing Consultant

Dennis was born in Minsk, Belarus and emigrated to California with his family in 1992. He has been with WFE in various capacities since 2008, and now focuses on program assistance and implementing marketing initiatives. Prior to his roles with WFE, he worked in marketing for the automotive and health care fields. Dennis currently lives in Northern California, where he enjoys travel, food, cars, Lego, and sports.
