An agricultural exchange is a mutually enriching opportunity. For the international trainees and interns who come ready to grow with your business and for hosts ready to share their knowledge and community with visitors from other countries.
Worldwide Farmers Exchange (WFE) is designed to promote two-way learning, finding international candidates who bring their own experience in your field in order to share skills and create lasting connections.
WFE matches qualified and motivated candidates with the needs of our general agriculture and wine hosts. We have earned a reputation for comprehensive services, streamlined processing, and personalized support, ensuring each exchange fulfills our nonprofit’s mission.
All intern/trainee candidates are required to be 18-30 years old, with intermediate or better English skills, and education and/or 5+ years of work experience in the chosen field.
Interns from WFE have a more well-rounded skill set and more interest in gaining diverse experience. They’re young, fresh candidates who are genuinely interested in the industry. It feels good to give back and influence the next generation of winemakers.
With WFE, hosting J-1 interns is a straightforward process. They handle the documents and solve the problems. We’re all about people and relationships, and our interns are treated like family. We really enjoy the exchange of ideas that comes with the Program, and the personable staff is one of the main reasons we work with WFE!
We’ve had exceptional experiences with WFE. With qualified, hardworking, down-to-earth candidates who are really in it for the experience, it’s a program I’ll always utilize!
It’s satisfying to have knowledgeable, motivated interns who are working toward their degree, not just completing tasks. As an exchange program, WFE is a great one to work with. We’ve attended the weddings of our former interns, and WFE has provided the link to those relationships.
